New Wine Events Coming to Healdsburg in 2017

After the January atmospheric river (it’s been Sonoma County’s rainiest winter in a decade), we are counting the days until spring when the grapevines burst new buds—and the special events season begins at Jordan Winery. Today, Jordan’s first monthly e-newsletter of 2017 debuted, unveiling some big changes, exciting new events and the entire 2017 special events calendar. There’s no better time than winter to start planning a post-winter getaway to sunny Sonoma County.

The ultimate wine tasting experience for nature lovers, Jordan Vineyard & Winery’s vineyard hiking experiences ($95) are expanding to six Sonoma County hikes total offered in spring, summer and fall. Dates are April 28, April 29, May 18, June 17, July 20 and November 3. These moderately strenuous, three-mile hikes at Jordan Estate will pass through natural wildlife habitat and sustainably farmed vineyards, as well as around secluded lakes, cattle pastures, chef’s garden, apiary and olive orchards, where a Jordan Estate Olive Oil tasting will take place by the trees. The adventure culminates back at the winery for a charcuterie picnic and wine tasting of Jordan Chardonnay and Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon.

Experience al fresco dining in wine country with exciting new dinner party events on the picturesque lawns of Jordan Winery with the background of a French-inspired winery chateau. To celebrate this year’s launch of the Jordan Cuvée Champagne by AR Lenoble, we’ll be hosting a Bastille Day Dinner ($200) in July, where guests will revel in the spirit of French gastronomy over a four-course meal with wine pairings. In August, our Bounty of Sonoma County Dinner ($200) will bring Sonoma’s greatest culinary treasures to the table with a four-course, wine pairing dinner. These summer events in Healdsburg replace Jordan’s Starlight Supper dinner series. Our seven-course spring dinner in the dining room also has a new theme, A Taste of the Sea ($295); this event is now available only to Gold and Platinum members of Jordan Estate Rewards.

To celebrate the official release day of Jordan’s newest vintages, we’re hosting our first-ever Platinum Release Party ($95). Exclusively for Jordan Estate Rewards Platinum members, this walk-around tasting event will debut the Jordan 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2015 Chardonnay, with culinary creations by our chef and live entertainment.

There are more ways than ever to escape for a weekend and enjoy the Sonoma wine country lifestyle. Peruse our entire 2017 events calendar, including more fall holiday tastings and several wine festivals across the country. Additional regional events and wine dinners will be added throughout the year.
