Best Burgers in Healdsburg
A burger in its simplest form consists of two main elements: a bun and a choice of meat. But what takes a burger to the next level? Is it the array of toppings that you can choose from—mustard, pickles, cheese, onions, tomatoes, bacon, avocado or lettuce? Or is it the level of juiciness, spice or greasiness that perfectly satisfies that burger craving when you need it most? In honor of National Burger Day, we decided to put our taste buds to the test to find the best burgers in Healdsburg. We hope this list will inspire you during your next burger quest. The BD Burger at Barndiva
As one of my favorite restaurants in Healdsburg, it’s no surprise that Barndiva’s burger makes the cut. Trust me when I say this: Barndiva doesn’t fool around when it comes to their famous BD burger. Complete with a special blend double patty, American cheese, bacon, caramelized onion, tomato, pickles, little gem and pale ale aioli, the BD burger meets all the criteria. All you need is a glass of Jordan Cabernet to finish off this extremely satisfying meal. Reservations required to enjoy outdoor dining in their gardens or enjoy it to-go when you just don’t feel like cooking.

The JMC Bacon Burger at Journeyman Meat Co.
Located a block from the Healdsburg Plaza, Journeyman is an intimate, family-owned spot known for its butcher’s counter, woodfired pizzas and salumi. But the showstopper on the menu is owner Pete Seghesio’s JMC Bacon Burger–a house-made patty of ground beef and ground bacon served with lettuce, tomato, onions and aioli. Local tip: If you’re in the mood to grill out, you can purchase JMC Bacon Burger meat from the Journeyman butcher’s counter to cook at home.

The Southwest Turkey Burger at The Wurst Restaurant
Founded in 2011, The Wurst Restaurant is a local staple if you’re looking for a roadside juicy burger, basket of fries and local beer on tap. With plenty of outdoor seating, The Wurst makes for a casual family-friendly experience just steps away from the Healdsburg square. I recommend their signature Smash Burger or try their Southwest Turkey Burger for a spicy twist. Topped with pepper jack cheese, sweet and hot peppers, avocado, caramelized onions and chipotle aioli, the Southwest Turkey Burger will keep your taste buds wanting more. All beef burgers are served with local J Brand Cattle beef Company on a seeded roll. Cleanse your palate with a soft serve ice cream cone to complete your Wurst is the Best experience.
